How to obtain Québec class 5 drivers licence


Looking to obtain your Quebec Class 5 driver’s license? Westmount Driving School in downtown Montreal is proud to offer the Quebec Road Safety Education Program (RSEP). Our expert instructors provide comprehensive training and support to help you achieve your driving goals.

To enroll in our RSEP program, you must be at least 16 years old and have full consent from your parent or legal guardian if you are under 18. Once you’re ready to get started, follow these steps:

  1. Register online with Westmount Driving School for the RSEP program.
  2. Complete Phase 1, which includes five theory modules and a knowledge evaluation to obtain your attestation for the Learners Licence.
  3. Over the next 12 months, complete Phases 2, 3, and 4, following the RSEP program outline.
  4. Attend a knowledge test at the SAAQ center after 10 months from the day you obtained your Learners Licence, and after 12 months from the day you obtained your learner’s license, take a road exam.
